I am so grateful for your support, prayers and encouragement that made R4R something very special to be a part of. I feel privileged to have represented and promoted Rahab Centre for Hope, in Delhi, India. Together we have raised $2,750 AUD to assist Eunice, Stephen and the team at Rahab, in the vital work of rehabilitating and restoring dignity to women who are victims of human trafficking.“

RUNNING FOR A CAUSE
For a long time, I’ve been wanting to do something that will make a difference in the lives of people as well as impact the Society.
Personally, Sports has always been something that runs deep into everything I do. But all these years, I’ve just played and won accolades for myself, little did I contribute to Humanity.
Whilst in a conversation, a friend of mine ignited in me the thought of running a Half-Marathon. This sparked in me the thought of ‘Running for a Cause’ and contribute into the lives of the people.
#My Journey
The New Delhi Half-Marathon was an ideal opportunity to Run and I instantly decided to myself for the event. For me, it was the Biggest Catalyst of Change in my life wherein I would Run and run for a cause. This is was my first ever Half-Marathon and it was a challenge as I had only a month to train. Whereas, in contrast, an average person requires at least a minimum of 2-3 months to prepare.
Whilst training, I realised that this is going to be an uphill task and I needed to push myself harder each day. Along the way, I incurred a few injuries but that didn’t hinder my preparation.
Denzel Washington said – ‘To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did’ and this this statement kept me going during my preparation for the run.
#Cause
We as humans always tend to receive things, seldom give. Therefore, I wanted to take this opportunity to give back to the ones less fortunate than myself by running the New Delhi Half-Marathon for Rahab which is a rehabilitation-home for women.
I was running to raise funds to restore, rehabilitate and empower women and to help them to start a new chapter in their lives. The realisation to share my story would mean to share my experience and inspire others to push along in life’s journey. Nelson Mandela famously said – You never fail, you either win or learn.
