Rahab Centre for Hope runs programs aimed at fostering empowerment, rehabilitation, livelihood and sustainability and support vulnerable individuals, particularly women and children.

Women Empowerment

Rahab Centre for Hope has also organised Community Development
Activities, thus opening doors for bringing awareness on Health and Hygiene, Medical Camps, Free Tuition for Drop Out girls on continuing Education to completion, making of sanitary pads for those women who are illiterate and have very low IQ level, learning to drive the E-Rickshaw.

E-Driving

Most of our beneficiaries are transferred from Nari Niketan or short stay home, or brought by the Delhi Police or by the Order of the Hon’ble district courts. Most of whom are slow learners and with low IQ, without educational qualifications and identity, hence is it a challenging task to rehabilitate such women.
A proposal was submitted to CEO, Mr. Ajay Jain – Guardian India who showed keen interest to go ahead on this unique project of teaching women to drive at Rahab. An e-rickshaw was donated by GUARDIAN INDIA LTD., the benefits of being pollution free, low maintenance, easy to drive and above all would bring confidence and enhance self –esteem in these women.

DEESHA SHIKSHA KENDRA

A unique project has been started by Rahab and we have opened a Free Tuition Centre to give an opportunity for Drop Out girls and assist them in continuing their Education right upto completion of High School and further Higher Education, called DEESHA SHIKSHA KENDRA (which means Giving Direction in Education).

Our goal is to teach the girl child who are deprived of education, drop outs from school due to various reasons, and ensure they build up their moral, character and personality development along with education, and empower them so that they improve their level of education, build self confidence and mobilise for higher education and reduce the drop outs of girl child. At present 50 girls are enrolled in the program.

Saksham

Saksham is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering women through skill development in tailoring and stitching. The unit provides women with the opportunity to acquire practical skills that enable them to become financially independent and self-reliant.

Prerna

PRERNA, our dedicated Day Care Centre for the elderly, is a safe and welcoming space designed to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens. The centre aims to foster social interaction, provide emotional support, and promote active aging through various activities and services.

A.S.H.A

ASHA (Adolescents’ Social and Health Awareness) is an initiative designed to empower adolescents with the knowledge and skills they need to lead healthier, more socially conscious lives. This program focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced by adolescents during their transitional phase of life.

Deesha Shiksha Kendra

It is a dedicated initiative providing free education to dropout girls and boys, aiming to bridge the gap in their learning. The centre offers personalized tuition, helping students catch up on missed education and empowering them to continue their studies. By fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, DEESHA Shiksha Kendra enables children to regain confidence in their academic abilities, setting them on a path toward a brighter future.
